Our client wanted a website refresh as it had been about 20 years. They wanted their web presence to mirror their professional work, as they say “the way you do one thing is the way you do everything.” We told them to go for a super clean look, as that is the nature of their practice (cleanings and cosmetic).
To do that, we did a bit of a brand refresh. We removed any previously used yellow design features as yellow is associated with poor oral hygiene and plaque. We also upgraded the previous use of gray for a sharp and contrasting black. The higher contrast established a crisper and cleaner look. We introduced a variety of blues which not only is associated with health, but also provides a fresh feel (ice, mint, cool tones, etc.). Additionally, the temperature on all of the photos was turned down to mimic that fresh and clean feel.
We went into their office to take some real photos and videos to provide a better sense of realism. It puts patients at ease to see real and friendly faces. Therefore, we also advised against using stock photos. We used real images of featured TDS cases and staff members. We didn’t want the website to come across as cheesy (no pun intended). So, we avoided any and all cheap slogans about smiling.
Our client also had a large practice which was also the best in the area, but one would not be able to tell. We made it apparent that they were the go-to practice backed by social proof (reviews, testimonials, and other methods).
Their ROI had already doubled after one week.
